So it doesn't look like they are in any way affiliated with the HUD program, they just took the name and used it for marketing.

I have read "The ABCs of Real Estate Investing" by the Rich Dad Advisors (Affiliated with the Rich Dad, Poor Dad book). 

I do not have an affiliation with anyone in the community and welcome a point in the right direction.
