@Aaron McGinnis The problem with that is that the "big box" store gives us great discounts up to 15% off of everything and they have a delivery truck that runs stuff to our houses at anytime.

A friend of mine ran a mail order business from his home, nosy neighbor want to know about all the deliveries he's getting from UPS.

Your contract should have also described how notices between the two parties are to be handled so the buyer should have notified you of such delay by the method provided in the contract and then sought to amend the time for delivery.
