I struggle at this point (being brand new to this) with wanting people to also have the same successes and needing society to be like it is to be able to pursue long-term buy and hold.

Yet, this dysfunctional and pathetic tool is the best society has for making important decisions in people's lives? 

We do live in a supposedly egalitarian society so why be unfair to yourself financially when your partner is already a financial equal?

Not sure what you're reading into it which wasn't in the earlier post.This structure is intended for asset protection against liability in a litigious, lawsuit-happy society where people think they can make a living taking other peoples' assets through frivolous and/or fraudulent litigation.If you think you can "easily circumvent" such a structure within the limits of the law, by all means get in touch my group's tax and legal expert and his law firm.

Why pay $20K per semester when you can get the same thing for a grand.Right now, if you are a unskilled worker (sometimes even if you are skilled) in our society, the deck is definitely stacked against you, just look at your mother's experience.

It can be summed up very simply, the United States is consumer society, not a producer society.

When in doubt, thanks to our litigious society and plaintiffs lawyers, cover your bases and shield your assets.

We live in such a litigious society and culture, where many look for ways to financially gain and capitalize on opportunities.

He views vast swaths of our society as trash for [reasons], what makes you think he won't find some excuse to view YOU as trash for [reasons] and use that in his head to justify doing something shoddy that you will not see upfront, but will cause the fence to fail in 2.5 years?

The bottom line is that the primary value of getting permits is that it is a CYA in a big brother society where the government claims to be protecting us but does a poor job of the protection and still makes an attempt at enforcement.
