Post covid roofers are getting $450 per square from roofing companies and the guys who used to do roofs for us won't even quote a job because all they want is insurance work.I'm in NE Ohio where we are relatively disaster free.In the last 90 days we have had two tornado events with more than 10 touch downs per event plus two big hail storms and also massive rains where streets were flooded out like Noah's Ark.I don't believe there is a profitable insurance carrier in the US at the moment so the pain will continue.

Storms, hail, snow, high winds, tree branches in contact with the roof, not to mention tree branches falling on the roof and tenants climbing on the roofs.Maybe the inspector missed it but maybe the roofer is looking for a payday.

Does anyone have are reliable/honest roofer they can recommend in Cape Coral?  

It's definitely a lessoned learned because its going to be more difficult to evict your friends, however the damage is already done with the neighbors, so I would say, do your best to mend those fences by having your friends as well as yourself apologize and offer to pay for repairs.

Looking for referrals for contractors, plumbers, real estate attorneys, real estate agents, electricians, roofers, landscapers ASAP!

Although we come from a plethora of construction members in our families, including electricians plumbers and roofers.

As a former roofer/ exterior worker, that knowledge is one way I provide value to my clients and peers.

I agree with @Matthew Lodata we've tried to report a shoddy roofer before and the BBB did nothing even though the person took $2K and didn't finish the job.
