It all comes down to the motivation of the seller.  

When someone earns commissions from selling you stuff, they have mixed motivation. 

We're looking to do some sort of house hack or seller financing to help with a lower monthly payment on a new single-family residence.  

Looking to work with interested investor looking to get into the short term or long term rental business through manufactured homes. We find land to place the home on, in popular rental areas to help maximise the rent...

Simply reads the script, schedules follow ups with sellers who are not always motivated (if they give a price that’s not $1 million, it’s given a follow up haha) and with motivated sellers she doesn’t ask questions that help gather more details to reveal the motivation or timeline. 

Especially with older buildings, finding the cause of one problem often reveals other problems, and solving one problem often creates a new problem...it's sort of like a game of whack-a-mole. 

What you need to find is motivated sellers.

Explain to your tenant that while you're trying to help them because you're an investor in the neighborhood these sort of complaints are beyond your property line and beyond your control.

There would have likely been a public notice of some sort as well if a major change was going to be made.
