@James De Stefano i have told tenants to take money off rent for inconvenience of no hot water andreroofing (noise).

Is this a significant turn off for renters because of the noise pollution? 

Hi Everyone, I had 2 tenant (boyfriend & girlfriend) in my duplex.They had/have a couple violations (noise/fighting, smoking) they have cause damage to the unit.One of them (the boyfriend) decided to break the lease and move out in May. 

I am working on getting to the point in which that isn't an issue for me, however, right now I am totally making my way on grit, grind, and the willingness to learn and grow. 

Our floors are not well noise insulated but I really do not want to put in carpets.

The particular situation I’m am in need of guidance on is a new tenant we have recently put in one of our homes and this person feels the need to text myself and my partner every time the house makes a noise or the air conditioner makes a sound they think is a problem or when the weather is bad and the lights blink......the list goes on and on.

Wondering what your cost were, products used and if you noticed a reduction in noise?

For example, her primary reason for wanting to move at this time (in addition to needing more room) is a tense situation with her downstairs neighbor over noise (my prospective tenant being the accused noise-maker).
