Keep in mind all real estate in Argentina is bought and sold in US dollars since they don't trust their own currency, so imagine what that did to the real estate market.But when Kirchner banned the exchange of US dollars I was able to buy pesos on the black market with US dollars which became a rare and hot commodity as a hedge against inflation which was out of control and the entire country was on sale at about a 40% discount because of the premium you could get on your money when you sold US dollars. 

If demand for petrodollars falls...it would dethrone the dollar as the reserve currency which would cause countries to dump their Treasuries...inflation...we are talking mega trillions.

We understand how currency works and the proper use of good and bad debt .

Ok, then the question shifts to the overall Fiat currency system.

For ex : the most common advice is to avoid a bigger rehab initially .

Thus deflationary cycle via currency concentration.

I'm visiting with family this weekend, so do not have a lot of time to go find them all, but will try to pull the information together into a blog post in the next 2-3 weeks.One additional consideration which has arisen in the past 3-4 months is the shift in the relationship between the CAD and USD - I sold USD at 1/1.2245 last week and the currency jockeys are indicating we could see 1/1.18 before the end of May.

And I do believe the dollars days are numbered as the one reserve currency in the world.  

The bad news is part of investing, be it the stock market, Forex, Real estate etc.
