Technology has made remote property ownership very feasible.  

It's straight up math & technology.

You're not investing in blockchain technologies buying Bitcoin.  

The issue in most instances is the inability to articulate the risks and how these structures will actually help and therein lies the issue and why most go over the top on asset protection expenditures.

The Algarve has basically:1- Vacation rentals (depends on the area) for short-term duration or long term duration2- Residential (Faro, Loulé, Portimão) are the most populated cities.3- Commercial (restaurants, hotels and services)These are the 3 main markets.Opportunities lie specially on rehab, particularly >30y old apartments or houses, buy and hold in residential cities (specially for student loans), vacation rentals (All around the Algarve) or commercial long-term rentals...It depens a lot on wheter you're a buy and hold investor or if you want to

If you do not like bookkeeping/accounting/technology, hire a bookkeeper specializing in real estate investors.

Although they are in real estate, their service areas include investment management, technology products, and VC investments.Do some research.

What they could have done better is referred me to a better PM, who actually does better work, they could have helped me in analyze the property better, they could have atleast helped me get a property which does not loose value over time but gains it(which they clearly lied to me about).

I think I am a bit technologically challenged, so trying to see what are best options if any.
