An awful lot of landlords are loathe to return deposits.The charges presented look like routine charges for preparing a broom clean rental with normal wear and tear for the next tenant. 

That makes it much easier to tolerate late payments something I'm usually loathe to do after a  couple of times.  

I feel loathe to go down the traditional route as I feel there must be more creative/wiser ways to climb this ladder.

So perhaps well well respected and reputable are not perhaps the best terms to describe the unnamed agent if in fact the story is true.Russ while agree with your statement.. the reality is some agents loath each other for whatever reason.. 

So far, all three of those have been solid, and i am a little loathe to mess up one for the sake of another (eg. look seriously into PM and offset some of that cost by doing my own taxes). 

The new hires wanted the whole world given to them and they loathe seniority.
