hello-q: i hope that you have quite the plethora in information about the decide to..build a square space (office like in function) right next to house-to have "reason space" to work from home ('i am forced to work from home bcs of having parent who survives a stroke-cared for on/in house property, bcs putting her instead in assisted living-wouldn't be more affordable/feasable, and many states (california being one) are willing to help loved one(s) to age/stay in place as reason to build these extra spaces in/on property..putting her in the situation as more benefitting i am researching the state orgs to find out what to do=being as stellar the careful/accurate as i can with gathering as to what to do..including the obtain of funding per any grants.and trusting that having your consultation has us getting away from issue/noise over just purchasing/happenstance model in default assisted: residential (multi bed home stead-with all the red tape & fees/tax justify better?

Biggest risk is the complaints from neighbors about the noise, although I've heard that there are new paddles that dampen the noise quite a bit? 

It can be a negative factor if there's increased traffic/noise or if it blocks off a view. 

Airbnb is also exceedingly easy to get an idea on what 3BR comps in the area are getting for their weekday/weekend ADR, cleaning fees, as well as seeing if there are common check-in/check-out times, minimum stay restrictions, and how booked up their calendars are, especially right now heading into the back half of the busy summer season.As far as the what kind of legal structures to use for this property, there's so much noise on social media about stuff that just doesn't matter or apply to most people, so I wouldn't worry about overcomplicating your purchase with trusts and holding companies at the beginning.

I only had a real problem 1 time during those 25 years when I ended up with a full house (22 guests) and two of the rooms were from a different culture that stayed up late into the night and ended up annoying the other guests stomping around and making noise.

To summarize: This is bringing in prospective buyers and renters currently and won't stop in the near future, but that could come to a grinding stop at some point in the long term.
