I think we can both agree that it’s a global problem though, right?

So many people put way too much emphasis on other people telling them that a market is "doing great" for them. 

I figured it out by trial and error with an emphasis on minimizing the errors !!

I actually work for a global real estate asset management and investment firm (mostly commercial, logistics, multi family etc) and have always loved this asset class.

One area of emphasis to improve cash flow is property management.

Portugal as a whole has had huge capital appreciation over the last few years but that was mainly a catch up from the Global Financial Crisis and it was led by foreigners, notably through the Golden Visa, that's now been abolished.

The problem is that Katrinas are going to become more and more frequent as time goes by what with global warming.

If it gets worse, which it could given that the assumed reasons are pollution and global warming, it could eventually wreak havoc on the country's tourism industry, especially Punta Cana.
