It's no different than using heavy motor oil to quiet knocking cylinders in an engine that's ready to blow up because you really need to sell the car and a new engine 'isn't in the budget' and "the sales contract doesn't specifically say that the engine won't blow up in a week"

As with other locks mentioned, I utilize multiple sets of the lock cylinders and can re-key in about 20 seconds per lock.

Once you get the cylinder out, it looks pretty much like a deadbolt.

Also keep in mind depending on which lock you get you may need to purchase a new cylinder (pic) and have it keyed too.

The deadbolt slid to the lock position and then when I went to unlock it the inner cylinder and the key popped out of the lock sending the lock pins flying all over.

I just want people to know that the only reason all of my valuables were still in my home after I was robbed was because I had a double cylinder lock on my front door the thieves gathered all of my belongings up but they couldn't exit the front door as they expected.
