I would definitely prefer to keep my personal affairs separate from my business.

I was looking at multifamily properties online and ran across a listing that states "Property registered with DCA (I assume DCA means Division of Community Affairs)."  

I want to let y'all who are looking at property in the District of Columbia to take a peek at the Dept of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs' Property Information Verification System, or PIVS ( http://pivs.dcra.dc.gov/PIVS/Search.aspx ).

Perhaps there are some people in the world who are negligent enough about their affairs to forego insurance, too, because it might not cover them in some case.  

I've spoke with the city probate clerk about becoming administrator of his estate, but since I'm not a blood relative and not his next of kin it's been a bunch of jumping through hoops.It's been a challenge trying to do anything regarding his affairs, because of course no one will talk to me without the admin designation.

I would send an email to the state Atty generals consumer affairs officestating in the email you are CCing the title company, selling agent, listing agent and your mortgage company I would do the same with every local radio and TV station as well as all of the big networks.
