They do not decompose in the septic and clog lines and drain holes.Houses with garbage disposals discharge all kinds of vegetables, meat and other table scrapes that are also not easily disposed of in septic biology.

Funny to say we were trying to escape city every time we had a chance, go to NJ do pick-you-own fruits and vegetables from farm and go to local beer brewery for round of samples. :) Princeton, NJ is our favorite spot.

I just sent a somewhat friendly e-mail reply stating politely that the previous documentation they sent me of the covenant I am supposedly in violation of says only that my yards and landscaping must be neatly trimmed, maintained and free of weeds and debris....it says nothing about the type of groundcover or the amount of green vegetation that must be present.

In Hawaii, plants, trees, and any type of vegetation grows, and fast... for homeowners much of their yearly expenses get sucked into maintaining the outside areas of their lot, and not only is maintenance an added expense and time drain it's a concern for pests (my first rented home here was invaded by rats because the homeowners didn't keep up with the landscaping.
