A Pew Research report found that between 2017 and 2022 - the beginning of the Minneapolis 2040 plan - “housing stock grew by 12% in the city, compared to 4% statewide.

I grew up in the area and live here now but I had moved away to NYC and came home during the pandemic. 

A couple of guys in Houston started a hard money fund about 25 years ago, that grew exponentially and attracted some Hollywood name investors.  

There are also more recent examples with advanced statistics showing this has been a great move in other markets.I grew up in the Sacramento area, and they recently moved the Kings' stadium to what was once a rundown downtown section.

I grew my rental portfolio starting with a house hack to rentals that are all clean BRRRRs.

I do not do this personally, but grew up around "horse people" in vermont/NH, and I feel like this is a great idea!
