I enjoy how the work takes me to different places around the city. 

I honestly find landlording very boring and after many years its not fun.I also have thought of reparing it and then handing it off to a PM company and holding it for longer but dont know if it will be worth it.In this situation, it ultimately depends on your long-term financial goals and personal preferences.If you are not enjoying landlording and find it to be a hassle, selling the property as is may be the right choice for you.

I know this sounds like a dating profile but I'd really love to find some people to just hang out with and talk/learn as we enjoy company.

The housing authority's big concerns in my market: bedroom windows will open and stay open for egress, smoke alarms in every bedroom, weatherstripping on door, TPR valve on the water tank, to name a few.

Back in our Day 70s 80s .. our normal spread was 4 to 6X of what we paid for it so we could afford a healthy discount and still double our money cash on cash.I still fund land flippers to this day and really enjoy it.. bought one today and got paid off on one today :)  And in a way if you really know what your doing beats buying beat up houses for many folks.

With this development added, we lose some of the rural benefits we enjoyed, add more traffic and have to deal with road and home construction for a while.

I was thinking of mailing the two neighbors and asking if they would be interested in purchasing versus someone else (or myself) who would likely build on the land which they have enjoyed vacant for some time now.

They actually invest.The deals are tough to find but they are out there.It helps to love the hunt as part of the experience - if you don't actually enjoy searching then I understand how it would be difficult to stick with it.
