I'm sure you have even more codewords to express your desire to raise your kids in a place that requires no work to meet your standards for space, cleanliness, modernity, and aesthetic appeal. 

It is a tight market in this school district and it's a desirable neighborhood.

My initial desire in real estate has been to do a house hack, preferably in a multi-unit building in order to rent out part of the property.

Before I pose my question, let me start off by saying that I completely understand every RE deal/strategy is different and each comes with its own pros/cons, as well as your own personal goals/desires, etc, etc, etc.So in a very generalized sense, if a would-be real estate investor has the option to start investing in SF/small MF RE, or being a passive investor in a larger syndication deal... which one typically is better (ie better returns on your investment)?

It is in a desirable area where houses sell quickly, and the house itself is in great condition, along with the whole neighborhood it is in great condition. 

My wife is fully supportive of my desire to dive into real estate, so I definitely count that as a blessing.  

It is always best to help your client figure out/find the information they desire - just my opinion.

I am new to Biggerpockets, I am 42 years old and I have a desire to invest in buy and hold real estate for retirement income. 

Covered parking is also a desirable amenity.Hope that helps!
