You really need a local attorney on the ground that invests and understands tax certificates and tax liens and can research and tell you the exposure you have with the property you want to buy.There is penalties and interest that has been accruing for years so do not believe what a seller is telling you for you need to verify yourself.

I bought and rehabbed a property there that is now under contract to be sold and was looking through tax records for something else and just out of curiosity looked up this address.
