If you are on the fence between direct ownership and going the syndication route, seek out both investments and select the investment that offers the best fundamentals and return profile.

Figure out what the seller is looking for.

@Doug Henderson, there aren’t a lot of syndicators with multiple cycle experience on BP—as you’ve astutely already pointed out, many of them started in the last several years as a rising tide has lifted all boats.
