It just comes with the territory when you buy attached properties with different owners. 

This understanding can be challenging to replicate when you're investing in areas outside your familiar territory.

We're hoping that we can find someone in the BP community that could come alongside us and give us some insight and support as we navigate this new territory.  

I'm in unknown territory here and over my head. 

@Max Appelbaum Thanks for reaching out and I think you are correct it wasn't the owners, they were some sort of territory vice president for the Southern region.

In fact, I'd argue as a result of me being to establish a healthy real estate business in a state and territory far away from where I grew up or began my RE career, that I'm uniquely qualified to provide insight into the essential elements of successfully investing out of state. 

With a mortgage of 65K and monthly rent of $1,150, I'm approaching 2% rule territory, but my cash flow is still only $124 a month. 

I understand that PR is kind of USA territory but kind of not - which will understandably turn people off from PR as an investment opportunity. 

@Ronald Rohde - ThanksDensity: The location is in the City's extra territorial jurisdiction (EJT)without sewer so  need to use septic tanks which means each lot must be 1 net acre or more. 

Networking is part of the process; hearing NO or getting turned away because you are a new investor and not doing cash only comes with the territory.
