We're seeing some markets on a national scale being impacted already and with a recession looming people are stacking cash and waiting for the deals.

So when does the ride end, as far as a possible bubble/recession, etc?

You want properties that are in close proximity to major employers, especially the ones that are the most recession-resistant, such as anchors.When looking at jobs, ignore the unemployment rate.  

Just curious, does anyone know/remember roughly what price adjustment percentage the DFW market experienced as a correction during the aftermath of the financial crisis and into the Great Recession?

We are just now getting back to pre-recession price levels.

Would have been sooner but the recession knocked me back about 3 years.  

Hollow sounding floors sometimes mean it's cracked or there is a recess under it.

I am going to be painting on the exterior side of several dozen windows.The wall is made of stucco concrete blocks, and the window is recessed about 4" into the wall. 

Then something bad happens unexpectedly (illness, layoff, divorce, whatever) and their world is turned upside down.People wise up when they see or experience these things themselves ("when your neighbor gets laid off, it's a recession; when you get laid off, it's a depression").

Is it best to buy and sell during a recession?
