No, I am not a spook like those who haunted Edgar Allan Poe; nor am I one of your Hollywood-movie ectoplasms.

I do have TV but I never never watch TV, the last time I watched movie was like in 2002, I only watched Netflix though. 

According to the old movies on TV the gangsters ride around for a while and pick a random place before they dump bodies.

Movie screens suck if you have to sit in the front row. 

Some are influencers living in their parents basement with their "command center" of pawn shop bought computers and monitors of which a few are on Porn Hub  24/7 while they shill for Pace and crypto bois.

Traveling nurses, pilots, people coming into town for weddings, movie personnel when they're filming in the area and so forth.

As far as friends you tend to become like to the top 5 influencers around you.I still hang out with some of my old friends every few months for a movie and to eat etc. but they are not involved in my daily life by choice.

@J Scott reminds me of the movie, Trading Places, want to bet we could take one of their failures, groom them, teach them, train them to succeed on a deal on their own?

I love Nancy's "Movie Phone" strategy and may just steal that idea for myself (we use Google Voice to automate the office).
