Is my fear of spiders reasonable enough to ban a tarantula ESA?

Do others do it or flirt the law....sure they do.....could you be in a world of hurt if you get caught...yes....think about the back taxes you didn't collect for hotel/motel occupancy tax, maybe fines from the city or HOA...plus if you're booked out 1-2 months all the reservations you have to cancel and all the bad reviews you will get....do that and you'll probably get banned from the STR from what I see/hear. 

That's likely best for you anyways as if you don't, and the state is banning STR for the time being, you'll likely be forced to anyways.

@Bruce Woodruff Lake Arrowhead just banned STRs (at least banned them in any property with lake rights).

Too much risk of banning them altogether.Like @Brooklyn McCarty said, we look only in vacation areas with strong STR presence and common sense rules.The bottom line is what are you looking for? 

It would ban buyers from renting out homes for a year, would require that all leases be submitted to the HOA and would prohibit lease terms of less than a year.

Seems like that would increase value to these grandfathered licensees' properties.Myabe we should pick some of these units up and license them before the ban hits?

Although MLS Statement 8.0 severely restricts access to off-market listings it does not ban them entirely.

Feels like we are seeing a movement to discourage/ban gas stoves.
