This has happened to me twice now, and I'm curious how others have dealt with it.

Are there any ways to get around this?

This group have given me some really solid advice already so I want to ask this.

@Jose Saladin you will likely not get a CO (certificate of occupancy) to be able to legally rent this out.

I submit on BP your for sure one  of the most sophisticated members when it comes to this space .

They scoped the line and said that the main 3" line is in great shape, and doesnt need replacing, but we would need to replace the branch section from the kitchen sink to the main line, and that this section could be rerouted around the back of the house instead of tunneling under. 

This would be an excellent question for them.

Any advice or tips would be appreciated.
