I have made two purchases recently (closing on one today) well under $1 million in southern Marin (3 beds/2 baths). 

I also suffer from PTSD being a Marine Combat Vet, which I feel contributes to me getting frustrated rather quickly.

I'm an Army guy so I won't hold you being a Marine against you:)  I rehab homes throughout the state and I believe New Jersey is a great state to invest whether you're a buy and hold guy or a rehabber.  

I'm an active duty Marine, and I'm finally starting to get serious about real estate investing.

I also have a friend who served for 8 years in the marines who is moving back to Lancaster in a few weeks.

I will be getting out of the Marines in about 9 months and will have around 50k liquid to begin investing with.
