Over the years you will see many many landlords be infected with burnt out landlord syndrome but be addicted at the same time to cash flow..

The first few years were about learning, but for me now, it's more about finding an interesting thread and following the discussion and once in a while, trying to make an interesting contribution.I do LinkedIn as well, but definitely not FB...though LinkedIn is slowly starting to feel like FB.I think one of the interesting dynamics that occurs when folks first starting getting hooked on this site (and this site is very addicting!)

@Mike Schorah You need to stop listening to drug addicts…..the ones that are telling you that listing contracts aren’t enforceable.

Like an addict who can "quit this stuff at any time", it's very easy to become overconfident about one's skills and get cavalier with underwriting or required reserves, specifically because buying does get so easy once you get some experience.

I sure would hate for some drug addict to come at you with a dirty needle, an alcoholic boyfriend take the pistol to you, and then we all see your blurred body, with the cameras zoomed on in your bloody, lifeless foot on an episode of First 48.I had a boyfriend get loud with my property manager on my last eviction, and this wasn't even a desperate squatter that broke in. 

I get a knock at the door and it is a sheriff and being served with addiction papers.

If the guy's trade dosen't show on him, his truck and his tools, you're talking to a middleman/salesman who is going to send out a crew of drunks/addicts/illegals to do the actual work.When the guy calls them "Subs" that just means he is 1099-ing them to get around having to hire actual employees.WTF do you need Mr Cleanhands for?
