Rarity isn't always the best thing especially if demand for this property type is low in your market.The reason I am bullish on adding ADUs is because I don't think the increased demand for ADUs is unique to New York.

I'm hesitant as I am not too familiar with the state's unique laws and I don't have a network in those areas and they'll have to be created from scratch.

Google "Airbnb Ambassadors")  I've worked with over 600+ new Hosts.I'm finding that I'm leaving money on the table because about 20% of new Hosts ask about STR Property Management, would I do it for them, what does it cost,etc. 

You will also want to hit up both AirBNB and VRBO to see what other units are bringing in and to the table.

In the real estate business, every transaction is unique and the approach to it may vary.
