I often see credit reports of tenants that are low, but only because there is almost nothing on it.You could say the system is rigged in favor of those who participate and have a lot of credit (and pay like clockwork).

It sounds like you've got plans and are approaching this as a "custom build" even though you've got the designs drawn up in an economical way.May I suggest that you look for builders in your area that have, for lack of a better word, cookie cutter homes that they build? 

There are plenty of cookie cutter neighborhoods that are B- that make great rentals, but it's pretty hard to cash flow them with current rates even managing yourself.

Paul it won't work well but there have been developers building "cookie cutter" houses in the outer suburbs. 

go to the RIG meetings or look up Bob Lucroy.. he has been at it for a few decades.
