Your question makes me want to check my state rules (Illinois), because I've thought many times that I might as well manage other people's STRs if I have all the processes set up to manage mine anyway.Finding a cleaning crew for 1 STR is difficult, but 5 is easy. 

Just to give you an Idea on some numbers , I am doing a 2100 sq ft house , class A neighborhood ,  clean out , removing some walls to go open floor plan , minor electric , some mid level replumbing , full custom paint , new kitchen , new bathrooms ( 2.5 ) , new windows , refinish hardwood upstairs , Vinyl plank downstairs . 

Tenants were great, paid the year in advance, clean, nice.

The window trim could not be fully cleaned, so I replaced the window trim and made sure the bathroom was very clean.

I can clean up and do the smaller jobs myself.

Sounds like the classic living out their deposit scenario in which they will deplete everything and leave you with nothing to cover repairs, clean up and other turnover costs. 

No grout to remove and regrout when it get moldy when tenants dont clean and maintain.

Sometimes they are older, but clean up just fine.Also, our guests seem to use them pretty regularly.
