Really puts into perspective my strategy given my current situation.I will continue to accumulate capitol and work on my skills/knowledge for when i will embark on my rental real estate journey whether it be here (if i stay longer than anticipated) or when I come back to the US once my contract is completed. 

I'd start getting ready now or consider exit strategies.

I've been wanting to get some advice from people about my specific situation, but there's a lot so I'll try to keep it to the point;In short, I'm wanting to "officially" start my real estate investing journey, making it my source of income - and I'm wanting to do house flipping as my strategy, at least initially.  

As most strategies it also depends on your investing goals.

That being said, I approached a local DSCR lender who refuses to look at my specific rental strategy in underwriting.
