One trick I typically use in this scenario is to fill the sink to the brim and then pull the drain stopper.

Again, we know bias raises its head in everything and clearly there where cases where this has occurred but I personally dont feel its wide spread as some people will make it out to be.

I realize that each deal is widely varied so there is no way to have a one size fits all approach so I am more looking to understand the math and how it may relate to this potential occurrence.
