You'll get there eventually.

Eventually, someone will need to sell to you, and you'll be sitting pretty right where you want to me.  

For us, we want to live in Chicago for the next few years and for us financially it makes more sense to invest in multi-family homes where we live in one unit and rent out the others and try to repeat as many times as we can before we maybe eventually move out of the city.  

He will eventually pay back the loan.

We don't want to throw money down the toilet for the next year on over priced rent (Nashville area) when we could purchase a home that needs some rehab help and build equity as we live there by fixing it up and that we can eventually use as a rental property after a year or so.

My goal is to ultimately invest in multi-family units and eventually apartment buildings.

Right now it's just myself and my partner but eventually looking to partner with investors.

People will eventually want to give you money to invest into your projects and you don't want to come across as a materialistic flashy person.
