I'm building my portfolio of SFRs in Houston area, and thought I had signed up with the best property management company in town.  

As some background, I'm looking for turnkey or close to it and would be using a management company since I have a busy full time job. 

The rep from their company that accidentally called me this morning was calling from Florida. 

@Caiden Mooney, if you are going to rent the property to third parties you may also be able to use a self-directed IRA to fund.

Our company flips homes in Laguna Beach, and we operate student rentals (currently in New Orleans, but planning to expand).

You can have a formula to pull the individual property tab income to this master tab.I have my ROTH IRA owned properties with a different colored tab and they are in a separate section on my master tab.

The entire reason I hired a company is they are the experts and I expect them to take full accountability of making sure I am in the know and 100% compliant.

First my units are  managed by a local company that charge me between 8% and 10% monthly.

(It's funny now) I hired a property management company and sure enough they told me the best qualified renter was the one who wanted to do a 9 month lease and pay it all upfront.
