The LL is understandably upset with this.I can't speak to 'discrimination' or what is an unreasonable rent increase in CT, but if your area does not have rent control, it is probably a legal increase if proper notice was given.

Due to NC law, had to have an attorney write up title letter, and title company charged us over double what was quoted, said even if we didn't close (upset about high fee), we'd be responsible for that attorney's fees as it was third party so we could close out of state in VA.

A lot of motivated sellers are going through some hardship, & nothing makes me more upset than when a seller has just told a wholesaler their situation & the wholesaler follows up by asking "Sooo how many bedrooms / bathrooms are in the house."
