When would you suggest to establish an LLC for your portfolio?

As it is, the current rent control laws sprinkled across CA create unnecessary challenges for new landlords.

This little economic slow down that was intentionally created to slow the economy to fight inflation is barely a pimple compared to the Great Recession. 

And if I buy in the near future, I'll be creating another LLC.

You could be creating unnecessary paperwork, headache, admin responsibilities, etc.This is more of a legal question, but typically I would think for a holding company you would want to list yourself as the manager of the holding company.

This entity will hold ownership interests in any real estate-owning entities I create.

With homeownership out of reach for many, renting is the only option, creating a housing crunch and insecurity for residents.
