If you move forward, definitely get a good inspector in there as he'll point out what needs replaced and perhaps you can get the seller to pay for some/all the repairs.

If the two were renovated there could be a decent difference in quality of the units...I would recommend seeing them prior to offering.However, at the very least you should see it when you get the inspection of the property done if you walk through with the inspector.

Even if you have good electricians, plumbers, and/or inspectors take a look at the property, there are likely going to be issues they cannot discover without basically gutting the property.
