Do you charge a security deposit, where do you store the funds?

Could you imagine if just a few small tenants had to pay the expenses of the then empty drug store and a supermarket? 

Tire kickers with no skin in yet bothering residents by viewing apts or stores/offices is annoying and detrimental to our business. 

Liquor stores, smoke shops, check cashing places, pawn shops, doughnut shops, cheap motels.

Fast forward a year later and I fell in love...I rescued my pup(pictured) from abandonment and decided I wanted a yard to play fetch and a garage I could store my car and also build a home gym. 

Furnish it, the last thing you wanna do is have your rental over run in the garage or the rest of the place with someone trying to store their stuff or have you pay for damages done to their stuff.
