There's not a typical ratio that I know of, but you can intuitively know what a reasonable number is given the immediate vicinity and when it's been vacant in the past.

I have been married for 32 years and if my wife (a very frugal person) had not been saving money from her work (she is a computer programmer) for about 25 years we would be in high water when I had a brain anuerism a little over 6 years ago and I have been unable to work the whole time and I still cannot walk yet.We have a daughter who is 20 years old and going to the University of Arkansas and it costs $6,000 a semester just for intuition and she (my wife) does pay all of expenses at school and does that without going into any debt.

If they ask for something like 6% then just raise your purchase price by 6% (yes this seems counter-intuitive).

The only real problem I've had with the service over the past couple years was that it tends to take longer for funds to appear if you're on the receiving end than most other comparable services (Intuit, Chase QuickPay, etc.).Then this week the unthinkable happened - a tenant took their payment back.
