I found some older threads with recommended inspectors, but wanted to get current info if possible. 

I understand there was inspection through the buying process which the inspector didn't find anything regards to plumbing.

The village the house is located in requires an occupancy inspection prior to sale, when the inspector viewed the property, they issued a non-occupancy permit for me to sell the property, but they also want me or the next buyer to pay for 3 permits and fines for work not done without a permit totaling 1k.Several investors talked with the village inspector and they reportedly will work with the next owner to resolve the permit issues without forcing them to tear out the existing work.

If he sees issues, you can always hire more inspectors/contractors to investigate further.  

Here are a few things to consider:You are correct: Any inspector absolutely will find mold inside your rental.

My agent (buyers agent) took some pictures and  I'm also planning on having the property inspected by a licensed home inspector.

Did you go and view each of the properties, or you had a local realtor/home inspector/rental agents acting on your behalf as your eyes on the ground?

I'm in the process of researching programs to obtain a Home inspectors license.

Keep an eye on the inspector's report.

I'm also open to working together with a partner and definitely would appreciate a mentor or recommendations for an agent, inspector, etc.
