Very reminiscent of Manhattanites  moving to downtown brooklyn for cheaper rent then further in to fort greene/bed stuy. 

I know a flipper that is considering building due he can build it cheaper than he can flip in this market.

My wife has been very supportive of this dream as I've begun to jump into it and our three kids are a good motivator to plan well for the future.While I currently live in California, this is my sixth state to live in, so I've gotten to see some vastly different areas of the country and intend to start my investing career somewhere cheaper than San Diego.

As I build these relationships, I am getting offered cheaper financing in terms of points and interest costs, but it does not seem as though they are willing to fund construction up front. 

In MD it is actually cheaper to start a new LLC than it is to renew it every year. 

You can't get cheaper real estate anywhere in the USA. 

And I want to save the buyers costs and me the hassel and expense of foreclosure.Land contracts are typically used in rougher / cheaper deals. 

Renting is a lot cheaper when you don’t have any money.

my advice is to buy cheap properties. use your income to fix them up and get them rented,  the cheaper the better. 

I'm intrigued .....Why is the primary residence considered a cheaper source of funds?
