The REO with the robo fiasco and lawsuits the lenders are doing the more quiet short sale route.They don't want anymore publicity so are only foreclosing now with no other options on the table.Many REO listings are in trashy areas and then when it won't sell they want it to go to auction and you sit open houses etc. for free and get a small commission.If you want to learn all you ever wanted to know about BPO's and REO's for a broker/agent go to www.agentsonline.net and scroll down to the REO/BPO section.I have completed thousands of bpo's but have not completed but just a few this past year.Used to you could make a 100 order and it was due in 4 days.
