And having a property manager does not mean that you’re not directly involved with a lot of issues with your properties.Given your situation I might rather suggest a REIT investment where you get exposure to the category, but not have to deal with such a large portfolio, or just get your feet wet and see if you like being a landlord by buying a couple of properties  Randy

This flip makes a cool story to tell with the history and you falling lol.

I will say, what this guy will do with the lot split and building a 2300 sq ft home is pretty cool.

So our standard two story is 9ft on both levels. our single levels are 10ft and higher with large vaults and really cool beams in the great room and the primary.. 

Some of the logistics are fuzzy as we would have to travel there regulary, get to have a great understanding of the cultural differences, build a 'team' of people as there are no Home Depots on every corner, but for about $50k US, you can own a pretty cool place in Italy.Best of luck to you!
