So if I understand, you would get a loan the normal way and then the bank trust is an extra fee that comes along with owning the property in Mexico?

Its hard to trust agents, contractors, management companies, etc in our own backyards, let alone out of state.

Before you get a flip under contract it is important to know that you have a vendor/contractor you can trust that will do the work needed.

Whether that's through house hacking or just another set of units I hold, I plan to purchase again this year. if there are tips on how to build a trusted network of people on here, I would welcome that.

Thanks Lauren - no one close by except a lady I wouldn't trust......I think it may be a bad idea too, just wanted to explore the concept a bit.

I've found that if you're going to do section 8, a lot of your trust is in the property manager to make or break the deal.

I would have been ok with the latter numbers because I have been stockpiling materials for like two months, but...I did not know if I could trust them due to the lack of "professionalism," and my lack of experience.
