Security systems are a giant headache for short term rentals.

Regarding Rob Beardsley he grew up in Silicon Valley and learned about real estate and tech from his parents, who ran a real estate brokerage firm from home, thus he had a built-in mentors and good networking to start with in addition to the capital that his parents have preserved for him so he got a good jump start.

The locations I am looking at (suburbs reasonably far from downtown and the Tech Center) have seen 3 total transactions in the last year.

@Ian BollingerSherman and McKinney in Texas are experiencing growth due to tech companies and business investment.

Ended up snagging a fixer-upper that most folks overlooked because it had this giant avocado tree blocking the front view.

That market from what I can see on the few trips I made to perform due diligence is really robust and such a pretty area I can see the attraction for those working in Tech or govmit in DC.

We will be giving up an older boat in the harbor in Ventura California  to do this, and I am sitting here now overlooking the harbor in Cabo feeling a bit sad however as anyone who’s ever owned a boat knows it is a giant hole that you pour money into even when you feel you’ve just about done everything you could to make it shipshape.
