If you have no other means to sustain yourself then what you are going to make in real estate, that could be unnecessarily stressful and unwise.  

I don't mind getting my hands dirty, been doing that my whole life, but I don't want to unnecessarily put myself at risk legally. 

While Orlando isn't that far, it's an unnecessarily long commute given that you have many options closer.  

Also dislike for killing things unnecessarily, using pesticide in the home, and it not making sense why pest resistance standards can’t be better.

I still purchased STR this year though, in the height of the market, but I only purchase where it's a recession-proof, the price now already appreciates again.Today, dec 2022, I've seen a lot of blood in the street, especially in suburb Single Family house that was affected unnecessarily due to rate hikes, as the price fell to the 2020 level, it's buying opportunity, wait for 3 4 years before selling it in 2026 could make easy 100k capital gain.
