Only a few simple documents are required, including a valid passport, birth certificate, and proof of address.

Additionally, most servicers will provide the tax documents needed at end of year (1099-INT, 1098-INT) and can also issue notices of NSF, late payments and support delinquency /default.

I have never seen any financial statements or documents or 3rd party audits etc.  

.- Documents were promised week after week, but never delivered.- The investment portal is not properly managed, kept up to date or actively used to track financial progress of LP investments.

Being in NY maybe something to do with physical document transportation?

I'm sure you're documenting everything.

They legally have to have this document filled out if they pay you more than a certain amount over the period of 12 months.
