Be compassionate, empathetic and courteous...

George was a very lenient person and cared about the people and was very compassionate and understanding doing his best to help people live in the home of their dreams. 

You always want to be compassionate but at the same time, you have to make decisions about rare situations upfront so you know how to handle them if and when they happen.
