The only time I've had experience with this was for my wedding, but it almost seemed like you have to roll the dice lol I'm hoping someone can show me otherwise!

Last year, there were alot of ground-breaking ceremonies (1: mix use development, 2- hardrock cafe with lofts, and 3- a park) happening in the neighborhood and that's when we saw our prop values jump almost 50%. and about 30% spike from last year.

I'm currently engaged, and love the idea of making this small home livable again, and living in it with my future wife (wedding late next year).

Cruises the 4 main isles 2 years ago for 20th wedding anniversary.

I had recently bought a house and then financed everything I could from a house to car to clothing wedding ring two vehicles and who could forget student loans.

My great grandparents kept cash in all sorts of places and after one of them passed we also found their wedding ring in a hiding place.  

If all goes as planned I hope to begin investing in February (after the wedding); until then I'll be building contacts, browsing the MLS, and doing calculations on properties i find.A bit about myself; my father raised me to be independent and do manual labor myself and now because of him, I do many of the home repairs myself and like to believe I'm fully capable of being my own property manager (currently own a home i purchased thinking i could grow into).

  $10k later, it was ready to put back on the market to sell, which it finally did the day before my wedding in 2014!

We are in an area that is not a vacation destination, people come here for family and life-related events such as; weddings, funerals, family parties, etc.

My Fiancee and I currently live in Portland, OR but are relocating to Metro Detroit after the wedding in September!
