Grew up poor, dad was a minister and sometimes missionary. 

He's not even sure when he moved there, but is fairly certain Mulroney was Prime Minister (which would mean Reagan or Daddy Bush was President).

Either way, real estate will eventually re-align itself to the rest of the economy.I see just today, the Finance Minister announce a further restriction to CMHC residential mortgage insurance as an effort to apply a little break to markets (primarily in Toronto and Vancouver).

I have lived through furnaces being stolen from the property, water heaters taken, siding removed from  the houses that had siding,   Copper pipes being ripped out of our houses, to Ministers who rented our homes saying they could visualize themselves living there forever, but inside meaning to never pay the rent of course.

Reminds me of a TV "minister" who went to prison, he's out, got a different wife that doesn't have tattooed eyebrows, he's back on TV south of Branson pitching his same old stuff.

@Herve Alce, hire an attorney to send the property manager a letter requesting repayment. 

Second situation: borrower is a minister and financing backed out on a deal they had on a house.
