According to FAR, the state added 28,507 new real estate licensees in 2015, a 142% increase from the low point in 2010 but below the 42,126-licensee high point of 2005 when we didn't have a real estate market, we had a speculators market. 

But if you intend to list houses, well it's a people business so I'd say get used to dealing with your fellow licensees and take the class in person.

Unless you have a mentor or background granting a lot of knowledge in these areas I wouldn't recommend them for a new licensee, but a client will probably ask about them at some point.

Provides that the Secretary of Financial and Professional Regulation shall conduct an examination of each licensee that engages in brokering and lending activities, the scope of which shall address the delinquency rate of the licensee's loan portfolio.

@Kevin Manz the terms for licensees is different for each state, so for example in Kentucky you must first be a licensed agent (sales associate), then you can become a broker with time and an exam.

This license permits the licensee to transact business at retail or wholesale.

Since I started learning about Real Estate I thought that being a licensee would be the only way I could sell to gain some capital.

I guess that means he can only deal with other licensees....the broker is protecting the public LOL.Anyway, the OP has recourse against the complaining agent, through the local Board as well as in court, and, I don't see enough details, like a copy of the letter or as to the cause of any complaint to comment.

But one whisper of a complaint, whether from a seller, a licensee, even someone annoyed by your marketing, and you are toast.
